Juanita joined The Executive Group in 2010 and was asked to create a recruiting niche for professional and engineering positions within the chemical and manufacturing industries. It is a process she says she has thoroughly enjoyed.
“It has been a pleasure to research these industries and make connections with clients and candidates alike,” she says. “I want to learn as much about each company and its culture to make sure I do my job effectively for them. I want the long-term relationships with my clients, and the only way to do that is to demonstrate I am interested in who they are as an organization and what their goals are.”
Juanita says that being a great recruiter requires being a good listener, having strong relationship building skills and excellent communication abilities, as well as always being reliable. She says that being an executive recruiter for chemical, manufacturing and mining industries is a challenge, and she is someone who loves a challenge.
“There are no two job orders or candidates who are alike,” she says. “I learn so much every day, and nothing stays the same. I have fallen in love with finding the perfect candidates for my clients.”
Juanita is full of energy and loves being outdoors with her husband and children—especially at the beach or in the mountains. She enjoys both snow and water sports, and travels whenever she has the opportunity.
