At The Executive Group, we believe in a scientific
approach to our search methods. We don’t use classified ads, because when you think about it the best qualified candidates
for your position won’t be reading the want ads – they are happily employed, successful people in their career
field – but who may be persuaded to consider other opportunities.
Likewise, we don’t leaf through a filing
cabinet of resumes. The best candidate for the job is not in the market long enough for us to rest on our laurels with fingers
crossed, hoping for an eventual opportunity to arise.
Rather we work off of your needs and specifications. We’ll
admit that sometimes our initial assignment interview is long and extensive. That is because it is essential that we get
a true understanding of the needs of the employee you seek for your bank or financial institution. Along with this profile,
we target an agreed upon geographical region and any other particular preferences you may have. Often times, positions require
specific job skills or specialized and unique attributes. Subsequent to targeting all qualified individuals, we call each
one of them to discuss your opportunity and determine not only their “fit” for the position but also their interest
level. Once identified, we go the extra step of a pre-screening interview on your behalf (previously approved by the client)
in order to be confident of the quality and basic skills of the candidates.
By the time you receive appropriate backgrounds,
much of the footwork is already done, so that you can have a more qualified interview with prospective candidates and hopefully
a faster turn-around to possible hire. We help in this regard as well, by exposing possible objections to the offer and aiding
in negotiating the offer and compensation package within the parameters you set.
By now, you can see that we are not
an employment agency in our function. Employment agencies often submit numerous qualified and unqualified resumes for positions
in hopes that, by sheer volume, some of them will make the cut. We are a professional search firm, and our interests lie in
long-term relationships of matching qualified and interested candidates to our clients. With this approach, we minimize the
time and energy of the hiring authorities in the recruitment process and get your vacancy filled with the most qualified candidate
currently available.
